Victory in that age-old struggle was won, and legally expressed for 211 time, by those great free men who wrote the Constitution of the United States. That struggle has been brought upon our people again. The ancient power of taxation to destroy would once more deny the right of a free people to tax themselves for one great purpose—to build. Our people, aroused, can win.
