The influence of the movies is to turn its own stars into crackpots, freaks, degenerates, alcoholics, dope fiends, free lovers and other types who deviate from the normal pattern of common sense and common decency. Some stars, of strong wills and sound minds and iron determination, may “resist” this influence. But upon those who are conquered by it, and those who withstand it, the Holly-wood influence is a force for evil, degeneracy and even insanity.”
